Everyone stop what you are doing, and check out this ridiculously gorgeous duo!! Deena and Brian not only radiate pure love and happiness, but they are also the sweetest couple. It was so difficult for us to pick our favorites from this session because we loved them all! We had such a great time exploring the West Loop and Lincoln Park Zoo with these two, and are even more excited now for their big day in October at Bridgeport Art Center.

Here are some of our favorites from Deena and Brian’s Chicago West Loop engagement session!

We first met Melissa and Andrew at a wedding we shot last year at Northfork Farm. Melissa was the maid of honor!! We had so much fun celebrating their best friend’s wedding, and were ecstatic when they emailed us a few days later to shoot their wedding. These two are seriously stunning and are definitely soulmates. After all, these two were a 99% match (0% enemy) on OkCupid!! Be sure to check out the engraving in Andrew’s wedding band!

Words cannot explain how breathtaking it was to capture Melissa and Andrew’s May wedding. From their emotional first look to their adorable pup Gus stealing the show at the ceremony, their wedding at Warehouse 109 was filled with so much happiness and love. We even sneaked away for some uber romantic sunset portraits during the reception. What a perfect day!

Here are some of our favorites from Melissa and Andrew’s Warehouse 109 wedding!

From Melissa & Andrew: “We previously had another photographer booked, but when I met Ed & Aileen at my best friend’s wedding I knew I had to have them for my wedding (even if it meant losing my other deposit). They are more than photographers; they helped pick bugs off my dress, made sure the ceremony started on time, kept the DJs on schedule, kept me calm and so much more! The photos they take are always amazing and are not the typical stiff photos I was used to seeing. We will be using them in the future for our all photography needs and I HIGHLY recommend them. They are so warm and outgoing! THEY ARE THE BEST!!”

On a gorgeous afternoon in June, Brad proposed to the love of his life Allison at the Boerner Botanical Gardens. Planned and designed by Citygirl Weddings & Events, this Wisconsin proposal was straight out of a fairytale. From the lush florals and delicious pastries from Alliance Patisserie to the adorable signage that told their love story, not a single detail was missed. Here are some of our favorites from Brad’s incredibly romantic Boerner Botanical Gardens Milwaukee proposal!

June was AWESOME. We can’t believe it’s already over! We traveled all over Illinois and parts of Wisconsin, documenting love and so many happy tears. Filled with gorgeous weddings, epic engagement sessions, and a romantic proposal in Milwaukee, June was further proof that we are incredibly lucky to do something we love for our full-time careers. It’s also pretty awesome to work alongside the person you love most in the whole world.

We started the month with our monthly photo brunch. This time we met at Ann Sather, and over 20 amazingly talented Chicago wedding photographers chatted about the wedding season, nerded out over photography gear, and ate delicious cinnamon buns. It was such an awesome morning! We even found ourselves poolside a couple times. And we celebrated National Doughnut Day by floating in the pool on two huge inflatable strawberry frosted donuts, ahaha. We absolutely love Chicago summers! This perfect weather is making it really difficult to start packing for our move in two weeks…

June was also filled with so many birthdays! Our niece Maddie turned one, and her cake smash was the most adorable thing we’ve ever seen. We can’t wait to go through the photos we took and share them with you all! Aileen’s mom celebrated her birthday on June 4th, and we surprised her with tickets to China to visit her later this year! We can’t wait to see her again! Ed’s grandma’s birthday is also on June 4th! Oreo and Amber both turned 11 this month too.

Chicago Wedding Photography Flowers for Dreams
What started out as a college project, Flowers For Dreams bloomed into an inspiring online floral business located in the West Loop and has taken the industry by storm. The soul of their business is their charitable contributions, donating a quarter of its profits to a local Chicago-area charity each month. Since 2012, people are able to purchase locally-sourced bouquets online for free delivery, and Flowers For Dreams has since expanded into weddings. And let us tell you about their wedding florals . . . WOW! We’ve had the opportunity of working with them a handful of times over the last year, and we can’t recommend them enough to our couples! Their work is simply stunning.

Earlier this month, we visited their headquarters. From the exposed brick walls to the thousands of flowers waiting to be arranged, we were able capture their talented team in action as they prepared for a rustic Chicago wedding the next day. We love seeing other creatives at work! A big THANK YOU to Co-Founder & CEO Steven Dyme for allowing us to go behind-the-scenes and to interview him for our June vendor highlight!

Tell us a little about yourself and your team.
We’re determined to make flowers more accessible and inspiring for everyone. Our bouquets start at just $35 with free delivery so more than a wealthy few can enjoy sending or decorating with floral regularly. We feel as though our aesthetic, brand, and values reflect a newer generation that cares about well crafted goods, business beyond profit, honest pricing, and transparency. We also commit 1/4 of all our profits to charity.
