What started out as a college project,
Flowers For Dreams bloomed into an inspiring online floral business located in the West Loop and has taken the industry by storm. The soul of their business is their charitable contributions, donating a quarter of its profits to a local Chicago-area charity each month. Since 2012, people are able to purchase locally-sourced bouquets online for free delivery, and Flowers For Dreams has since expanded into weddings. And let us tell you about their wedding florals . . . WOW! We’ve had the opportunity of working with them a handful of times over the last year, and we can’t recommend them enough to our couples! Their work is simply stunning.
Earlier this month, we visited their headquarters. From the exposed brick walls to the thousands of flowers waiting to be arranged, we were able capture their talented team in action as they prepared for a rustic Chicago wedding the next day. We love seeing other creatives at work! A big THANK YOU to Co-Founder & CEO Steven Dyme for allowing us to go behind-the-scenes and to interview him for our June vendor highlight!
Tell us a little about yourself and your team.
We’re determined to make flowers more accessible and inspiring for everyone. Our bouquets start at just $35 with free delivery so more than a wealthy few can enjoy sending or decorating with floral regularly. We feel as though our aesthetic, brand, and values reflect a newer generation that cares about well crafted goods, business beyond profit, honest pricing, and transparency. We also commit 1/4 of all our profits to charity.
What inspires you?
Our charity partners who work tirelessly doing the work many others won’t/can’t do with often little to no recognition. We are motivated to tell their stories and be their spokesperson.
What is your favorite part about your line of work?
Making people happy.
If you had one tip for a bride, what would it be?
Simple is beautiful and always ask questions.
