In April, we captured four kickass weddings in the Chicago area and all the way in Kentucky! Below are weddings from Woman’s Club of Evanston, Artifact Events, Westin Lombard, and Hemlock Springs. So much eye candy!!
Sam & Jim | Woman’s Club of Evanston
The first weekend of April was awesome! We captured the gorgeous wedding of Sam and Jim in Woman’s Club of Evanston, and these two are hands down adorable together. The whole day was super sweet – filled with big laughs, happy tears, and big dance moves. We feel so lucky to have captured this exciting new chapter in their lives. It truly felt like we were celebrating alongside old friends. And we even got to see another EA couple at this wedding – Jim’s sister and her wife! We captured their wedding in 2017.
Gina & Nick | Artifact Events
We can’t express enough how perfect Gina and Nick are together, and we feel incredibly lucky to have captured their wedding. The whole day was filled with so many personal touches, and it was really cool that Nick’s talented family provided the ceremony music. Even their favors were to charities that were super personal to both of them. From their adorable first look at The Water Tower and romantic ceremony at Artifact Events to dancing the night away, these two started a beautiful new chapter in their lives.
Kat & Amir | Westin Chicago Lombard
We absolutely love it when our couples become our friends, and that’s exactly what happened with Kat and Amir!! These two are truly genuine and warmhearted. From spending the afternoon chasing a turkey at Cantigny Park (hahaha!) to seeing Kat’s face when Amir surprised her with their adorable pup Pebbles walking down the aisle, this wedding at The Westin Chicago Lombard was a blast! And check out that open dance floor!!
Ginger & Paul | Hemlock Springs, Red River Gorge Kentucky
While it was snowing in Chicago, we spent an incredible weekend at the Red River Gorge with two beautiful souls. When not only the couple but also their friends and family welcome us with open arms and make us feel like old friends, we know we are in the right place. And that’s exactly what happened at Ginger and Paul’s wedding at Hemlock Springs in Kentucky. Filled with so many incredible moments – like a tearful first look and Paul showing off his DJ skills – we had an absolute blast. There’s nothing like a couple who cherishes every moment and doesn’t worry about a few leaves and sticks that tag along in the wedding dress!
We also did a day-after session on a good ole fashion film camera where we hiked the Red River Gorge, ending on a beautiful cliff just in time for sunset!! Shout out to Indie Film Lab for processing our film scans!
