We believe that life shouldn’t be taken too seriously. We’re on this EARTH for such a short period of time. And in the end, the only thing that matters is the story we leave behind.
We are Ed & Aileen - high school sweethearts and a husband and wife wedding photography duo currently living in Chicago, Illinois with our two spoiled cats. Growing up together, our unique perspective allows us to go into every wedding with our hearts and minds open. Having been through it ourselves, we understand the intricacies and stresses that go into planning a wedding. We know how important your day is, and as such, we strive to capture every important moment and tell your story with authenticity.
So, if you’re into candid moments, funny animal gifs, and binge watching Netflix, we’d love to hear from you! Let’s grab a drink and chat about life, love, and adventure.
WHO WE ARE
“My most precious memories are the simple moments. Like the way our fingers perfectly interlock, the way our arms brush up against each other when we are standing side by side, and the way we relax into each other after a long day. No matter where we are, these moments make me feel like I’m home.” - Aileen’s Wedding Vows
NOT JUST YOUR SHOES.
We're in the business of photographing authentic connections and
Think genuine emotions.
We aren't into stiff or awkward prom poses. Instead, think
It's the start of an amazing adventure!
We believe that at the end of your big day
Our approach to wedding photography is simple:
There's nothing better than relaxing next to the lake on a hot summer day, having drinks with your friends until the Tamale Guy comes, knowing that the best hot dog is served without ketchup, and being damn proud of your city. Seriously, there's no place like home.
oreo + amber
Whether it’s begging for cuddles or yelling at us to feed them at 3AM, these two fluffballs are the real ones in charge.
From experiencing Westvleteren in Belgium to collecting tin tackers from all over the world, Ed is all about a good cold one on a warm summer night.
If you can’t find us, there’s a pretty good chance we’re at the United Center dancing to Chelsea Dagger. Let’s go Hawks!!
We have a serious case of wanderlust. From trespassing to bathe under a waterfall in Maui to eating the best Ramen ever in a tiny basement in Tokyo, we’re always up for a new adventure.
Aileen is a proud Badger, and we lived in Madison for four years! We’ll never forget our first apartment, lounging at the Memorial Union Terrace, and those farmer markets by the capitol.
What we love.
We freakin’ love each other and don’t care who knows it!
we aren't afraid to admit:
Kleenex on hand because let’s be honest, weddings make us total saps.
You won’t find us without:
The support of our families and friends. They’re the best!
We can’t live without:
Sleeping in and cuddling with our cats on our days off.
You can find us:
HOW WE SEE IT
“Always remember, there was nothing worth sharing like the love that let us share our name.”
- The Avett Brothers
Ed asked Aileen out in 2002 over AIM. Six high school dances, three states, seven apartments, and two spoiled cats later, we were married on September 20, 2014.
WHAT WE've DONE
From the mountains of Colorado to a cenote in Mexico, we can’t believe how lucky we are to capture weddings all over the world.
