There is no doubt that Mary and Matt are soulmates. These two are so in love, and the way they hold each other is absolutely swoon-worthy. They are not only amazingly kind and generous, but also extremely talented. Mary runs the lifestyle blog Wander & Awe, and Matt’s band recently released their album Alive and Free.

We met Mary and Matt on a hot, humid Friday afternoon at the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool in Lincoln Park. From the lush greenery to the stones that lined the pond, it was the perfect location to document their love. Right when we pulled out our cameras, we were greeted by a spring shower. And we all got to know each other after hiding under Mary’s pink umbrella! However, once it was safe to put down the umbrella, we took full advantage of the rain. We discovered just how beautiful and magical a rainy Chicago backdrop can be.
