Aileen and Ali lived two blocks away from each other and were even classmates during elementary school. Aileen still remembers playing capture the flag during summer vacation with Ali – so much fun! So when we were approached to photograph their New Year’s Eve wedding, we were thrilled!! Ali and Rich are undeniably in love. These two are definitely a perfect match – both are sweet, caring, and have an awesome sense of humor.

It’s hard to beat the magic of a New Year’s Eve wedding! On December 31st, Ali and Rich had their first look at the City Hall of Oak Forest, down the street from where they first met. Even the frigid temperature couldn’t stop these two from being all smiles. We then proceeded to Lake Katherine to explore the snowy landscape before heading to DiNolfo’s Banquets in Homer Glen. We couldn’t have wished for a more romantic and unbelievably fun couple to spend our New Year’s Eve with. And when the clock struck midnight, we all celebrated an incredible 2015 and new beginnings.

“I feel like no matter what I write here, the words are not going to do justice to how beautiful my wedding photos turned out, and how much I enjoyed working with Ed and Aileen. I hired them kind of on a whim; I knew Aileen from school, and one day right around the time when I was searching for a wedding photographer she posted on Facebook that her and her husband decided to start their own photography business. I don’t even know if they had done one real wedding at the time, but the sample photos they put up from a shoot they had styled were great, and they were in my price range, so I decided to go for it. The end result FAR exceeded my expectations. I’ve gotten so, so many compliments from people on the photos, and I can’t stop looking at them. Ed and Aileen were also a blast to work with- they made us feel comfortable, they gave us just enough direction so the pictures looked good but not forced, they put up with outdoor shots in the snow and freezing cold, they worked a 13+ hour day because we had a New Year’s wedding and wanted midnight shots, and Aileen even good-naturedly put up with my dad and neighbors sandwiching her on the dance floor. The sneak peeks they put up the next day were awesome, they got our final photos to us SUPER FAST, and as an added bonus they even entered one of our pictures in to an Instagram contest and we ended up being featured in an article on the Huffington Post.
