We absolutely love it when our couples own the weather they’ve been dealt (and brides who don’t care the bottom of their dresses are getting wet!), as well as couples that aren’t scared of getting messy so long as they are together and having fun. And that’s exactly what this power couple did!! Thunderstorms and rain couldn’t keep Jess and Alex from having the best day ever. We were thrilled to get soaked alongside these two and their amazing wedding party. With a gorgeous first look on the rooftop of LondonHouse Chicago and wedding portraits all around the city, Chicago was definitely showcased in this timeless Jewish wedding. The trolley took us from Michigan Avenue all the way to Wrigleyville where these two got interviewed by WGN TV in front of Wrigley Field! It was such a blast. Alex even surprised Jess with a quick visit from their 11-month old golden retriever (named Wrigley. . . what else?!) before the ceremony. And as the thunderstorms rolled past Chicago, these two danced the night away, starting off with an epic horah (although their parents might have stolen the show, lol)!

Here are some of our favorites of Jess and Alex’s LondonHouse Chicago wedding!

The dog sitter was running a few minutes late, so we had to stall with some additional portraits outside of just Jess and Alex. The only problem was that it started to rain worse and worse!!! Jess kept asking to go inside, but both Alex and us kept insisting on staying outside for more wedding portraits . . . LOL!!! But when Jess saw her puppy running down the sidewalk, she instantly knew what Alex was up to! It was the cutest reaction and surprise.

And after a brief cuddle with their pup, we headed inside to dry off before the ceremony!!

And as the officiant asked for the wedding rings, Alex’s best man quickly realized he left them in the bridal suite on the other side of the building!! The entire room erupted in laughter as the best man quickly ran to grab the rings. Definitely something these two (and us!) will never forget!
