Winter weddings are utterly romantic and fun!! From adorable pups (be sure to follow Winston and Olivia’s Instagrams!) and amazing candid moments throughout the entire day to a perfect snowy backdrop for portraits and heartfelt ceremony, this celebration had it all (even though it was below freezing!). Lauren and Kurt are so genuine. The minute we met them during our initial consult, we knew they were something special. And when we captured their wedding day, they along with their families treated us like close friends. We feel so lucky to have been surrounded by such authentic and caring people. It’s days like this that reinforce why we freakin’ love our jobs!
In the morning, Lauren was filled with happiness and excitement. There were so many laughs, big smiles, and happy tears! Kurt hung out with his groomsmen, playing poker and drinking tequila. The first look between these two was super intimate, and when it was time for portraits, the frigid cold didn’t stop them and their amazing wedding party. Lauren didn’t stop smiling once even when she walked through snow and mud. Because after all, a dirty dress is a happy bride!! Adventuring on your wedding day is the best.
In a special moment during the ceremony, möbius strips were handed out to symbolize that even though Lauren and Kurt were two individuals, their journey together will forever be intertwined and united. And after these two were officially married, they partied the night away with all their friends and family. Love these two!
Here are some of our favorites from Lauren and Kurt’s Independence Grove wedding!
“Where do I begin?… Ed & Aileen are freaking INCREDIBLE! To start, they are both amazing humans — so sweet, fun and easy to work with. My husband and I never had a professional shoot taken before, so we were a little nervous before taking our engagement photos. Aileen made it so fun, by the end we forgot there were tons of people staring at us! My favorite thing about Ed & Aileen Photography is their knack for candid shots. They are all about the fun and just being yourself. This is what sold us on them, the second we saw their photos we knew we HAD to work with them. USE ED & AILEEN PHOTOGRAPHY, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! They are modern day photography super heroes!
We love you guys!! Thank you so much for capturing our big day. We are so incredibly grateful to have these amazing photos and videos to look back on for the rest of our lives.” -Lauren & Kurt
