What we love even more than adventure is expanding our horizons. We can’t resist experimenting with the latest photography trends and honing our skills behind the lens. Practicing and learning new techniques is something that we hold very dear as it forces us to go beyond our comfort zone. It makes us not only appreciate the complexities of photography, but it also gets our creativity flowing. So when we were given the opportunity to attend the Heck Yeah Photo Camp, taught by some of the world’s most talented wedding and editorial photographers, we didn’t hesitate for one second. We immediately bought our tickets to California, and it was seriously one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
From seeing Jonas Peterson‘s amazing ability to storytell to playing with prisms with Sam Hurd at sunset, we were inspired. We laughed and cried, and the importance of capturing those fleeting moments was reinforced more than ever. Surrounded by 100 incredible photographers, we all eagerly learned from one another and chased the light in the desert together. We were even able to apply what we learned in an actual photoshoot on the last day of the camp! We came back to Chicago with our minds open and our hearts full. We can’t wait to share with our couples what we’ve learned from California.
A huge thank you to Ben Sasso for putting this amazing photo camp together.
