Behind The Scenes | August 2016 Wrap-Up

September 1, 2016

August left our hearts full with all the beautiful weddings, engagement sessions, and family sessions we captured. From an intimate 60-person brunch wedding in Chicago to a family session in northern Illinois, we celebrated summer with some of most incredibly genuine and sincerest people we’ve had the pleasure of getting to know. We also discovered that Ed is the new uncooperative ring bearer and flower girl whisperer – give us any toddler who refuses to get their photo taken and Ed can change their minds (well for the most part)! We even shot our very first Indian ceremony at the Chicago History Museum, and it was simply stunning. We still can’t believe we get to share in the happiest moments of people’s lives!

We had our monthly Chicago wedding photographers brunch at Jam ‘n Honey, and the turnout was the largest yet!! While it was great catching up with everyone, the best part of brunch had to be the large jars of Nutella on every table. LOL!! Speaking of food, August also had a Portillo’s photo stop during a wedding, Taco Tuesday at Big Star, and closing down Violet hour with friends. And we celebrated a couple birthdays! We had a surprise party for our friend (she had no idea!!), and then on another friend’s birthday we celebrated by escaping a zombie horde… Seriously, if you’ve never experienced an Escape Room, get a few people together and do it. It was so much fun!!

We are still slowing moving in to our new place. The cats are getting more comfortable with the change, but bicker from time to time. We may or may not still be living out of boxes… Haha!! We promise that we will be fully moved in by the end of wedding season, and we will definitely post photos when things settle down. We can’t believe how quickly this year is flying by. Our September is jam packed with so many events – can’t wait to tell you guys all about it!

OMG Oreo is killing me. Let’s hang out in November once the wedding season has calmed down!
